I participated in the Gasworks Paint out 2020 this weekend, painting on Saturday and Sunday. It’s the first public event that I have joined since the pandemic, and it’s just so nice to be out, and to be with other people, even if from a distance!

The weather was lovely on Saturday and sitting on the grass for the above piece was simply enjoyable. As the park is also a dog park, there were several dogs which came up to have a look.

On Sunday, I went back for more painting. It was raining and we were given the option to paint indoors, with reference photos taken from the park. I decided that instead of using photos as references, I would paint and interior space when I saw this old piano.
They are both 5×7 inches, completed in gouache and will be hung as part of a group exhibition of all the works painted on location, at Foyer Gallery in Gasworks until Jan 10, 2021. Drop by to have a look 😃.
