Exhibition at Studio Kura, Itoshima

I found this post in my draft folder and have forgotten about it! It was a year ago and how quickly time has flown!

My artist residency at Studio Kura finally came to an end after 2 months in Japan in June and July 2019. It was a wonderful and fruitful time. I had an exhibition to share the work completed at the end.

Here are a few snapshots of my set up.

The concertina pages show some sketches of people of Itoshima. Those pages laid flat on the table are bookmarks – free for anyone who wished to take one.

The big work is a triptych title “5am”, inspired by the scene in front of my room window.

The space was not big but I managed to put up all the work I wanted to show. Here is a video that takes you through the space – hope you enjoy it šŸ˜ƒ

Hope you enjoyed my journey back in time.
