One day at a time in lockdown 2

How quickly things have changed . 3 weeks ago, I was in the city and life went on as “normal” – people were doing what they normally do. I went to Royal Arcade, and while I was sipping hot chocolate at Koko Black, I sketched this scene below.

People in Block Arcade – passing through, having a browse and shopping.

Then I went to the Emporium (a department store) and sketched over lunch (below) at the food hall.

That was the last time I spent time in the city. Today, many people are working from home. We are practising social distancing and self isolation – in our effort to curb the spread of corona virus. The government closed down non-essential services yesterday. The new normal is something we all have to get used to for a while.

Hope everyone out there is working from home, if not working safely and staying safe.
