Another plein air day in Itoshima, Japan

I have been lucky so far – it’s rainy season but we still have some sunny days in between the wet days. When the sun shines, I usually try to take the opportunity to get out of the studio for a break, get some fresh air, lunch, shopping at the supermarket or coffee. Some trips involve a bit of plein air sketching if I can squeeze it in.

There are many vegetable plots here – some are in greenhouses while others are in open plots. I have seen a variety of vegetables (cabbage, cucumber, eggplant etc) and flowers (one greenhouse has colourful tulips).

Today I rode my bicycle across the farms to yoga. I had my paint and sketchbook with me but I did not paint, but here are some lovely views of the farms.

It’s a beautiful place, isn’t it? I have painted the farms quite a lot, and I don’t think I will get tired of this view.
