A few more sketches from Kuala Lumpur.
I love the old buildings in Kuala Lumpur. This one is Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad which dates back to the late 1800s, based on Mughal architecture (from India). It’s a grand building – follow this link to a photo.
It was a challenge finding a spot to settle and draw – the city is busy with lots of vehicles and pedestrian traffic, and the weather is mostly hot and humid – so quick sketches were the way to go.
This is the new palace and I did find a nice cafe with air-conditioning to draw this.
